Forum participants came from around the world and included His Excellency Ambassador Aldo Dell’Ariccia, EU Head of Delegation; Chris Moraitis, Australian High Commissioner ; Dr. Jacqueline Badcock, UNDP Resident Representative - PNG; President of the New Caledonia Customary Senate; Ms. Margaret Thomas, Minister Counsellor, AusAID; Dr.Pak Sum Low, Advisor, UNESCAP; Joe Murphy, Regional Environmental Officer, American Embassy; Dr. Eric Kwa, University of Papua New Guinea; Professor Richard Steiner, University of Alaska; Professor Bryant Allen, Australia National University; the Mineral Policy Institute; World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF); and representatives from major mines in Papua New Guinea. The forum was also honoured by the presence of the US Ambassador to Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, Ms. Leslie Rowe.
